Arrival

  • Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged for an extra cost.

Day 1 Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve

Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by our company representative who will give you a briefing. You will then drive to Masai Mara National Reserve via the Nairobi-Narok road, which is a fault line of some 3,500 mi (5,600km) stretching from Ethiopia's Red Sea through Kenya. Enjoy the drive via typical African savannah country dotted with local homesteads and colorful Maasai herdsmen grazing their cattle. Along the way, we will have a brief stopover at the spectacular Great Rift Valley to see its beauty and take photos. We will proceed and arrive at the camp with enough time to settle in before lunch with a little time to relax before we head out for our first game drive in the afternoon. See game such as lion, buffalo, rhino, cheetah, eland, and giraffe among others. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 Explore Masai Mara National Reserve

Rise today for a delicious breakfast. As the cool, fresh air fills your lungs, you will feel invigorated and rejuvenated, ready for a great day to explore Kenya’s flagship park. Roll down the windows or stand up through the customized pop-up roof hatch and enjoy these unhindered 360-degree views, and the possibilities for what lies ahead. Masai Mara is one of the lushest reserves in Africa. It is globally renowned for providing excellent predator sightings in their natural habitats thanks to its relatively large populations of lion, cheetah, and leopard. We will also see many elephants, Maasai giraffes, common zebras, impalas, Thomson's and Grant’s gazelles, topis, hartebeests, black-backed jackals, spotted hyenas, and more. Dinner and overnight will be at the camp.

Day 3 Masai Mara - Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast from the camp, you will depart Masai Mara for your safari to the birds' paradise. Arrive in time for lunch followed by a game drive in the park. Lake Nakuru National Park offers you a rare insight into Kenya’s most diverse flora, fauna, and wildlife and is famous for its huge flocks of pink flamingos. The birds throng on Lake Nakuru itself, one of the Rift Valley soda lakes that comprises almost a third of the park's area. More than 450 species of birds have been recorded here as well as a rich diversity of other wildlife. Lions, leopards, warthogs, waterbucks, pythons, and white rhinos are just some of the animals you might see, and the landscapes range from sweeping grasslands bordering the lake to rocky cliffs and woodland. The park also protects the largest euphorbia candelabrum forest in Africa. In the evening, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 Lake Nakuru - Lake Naivasha - Nairobi

Rise today for breakfast, then drive to Lake Naivasha for bird-watching activities. Check in and go on an optional boat-ride activity to see more game. See hippo, pelican, kingfisher, klipspringer, hamerkop, and many other birds surrounding the lake. You will then proceed to the buzzing Kenya’s capital bringing to an end what we hope will be your safari of a lifetime. We drop you off at the hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. We hope to welcome you back to magical Kenya! As we say here: “Karibu Tena”.
