The Masai Mara National Reserve is considered the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas. It covers an area of over 1500 square km and is one of Kenya’s most popular tourism destinations. Situated in the Great Rift Valley, primarily open grassland, nowhere else in Africa is wildlife more abundant! Wildebeest are by far the dominant inhabitants of the Masai Mara, but you can find the entire Big Five (buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion, and rhino) here.
Pick up from the hotel or airport and drive to Masai Mara National Reserve via the Great Rift Valley viewpoint. Arrival will be in time for lunch at the camp. During the afternoon game drive, there is an opportunity to see lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, and rhinos, depending on your luck. Dinner and overnight are at the camp.
After an early breakfast, drive to the park for a full-day game drive with lunch boxes. Today, you have the opportunity to see the Big Five! If you travel between July and October, you will see the spectacular migration of thousands of wildebeest as they cross the Mara River from Serengeti in search of green pastures and to breed. Crocodiles and lions await them—observing this event is a true spectacle. Your dinner and overnight accommodation are at the camp.
After breakfast, embark on the final game drive as we return to Nairobi. Upon arrival in Nairobi, the tour concludes.
