The Masai Mara National Reserve will tickle your thrill spot with Kenya’s richest concentration of wildlife. The lush, golden grassland plains are filled with plenty of zebra, lion, and wildebeest, with a real-life readiness of on-camera safari expeditions. This acacia land brings you goosebumps with the amazing sight of the Big Five, elephant, rhino, lion, leopard and buffalo. We will also have a chance to visit Lake Naivasha for a boat ride.
We pick you up from the airport or your place of residence in Nairobi at 7:00 am. Your safari takes you to the Masai Mara National Reserve and into the domain of the Maasai, Kenya’s cattle-herding nomads, determined to preserve their traditions. The Mara is magnificent, home to Kenya’s richest concentration of wildlife, and regarded by many travelers as an essential stop on any tour of Africa. When westerners think of Africa and safari, this is the place they imagine – golden grassland plains packed with acacia, wildebeests, zebras, lions, and jackals, bound together by the cycle of life and death. Three days here will only scratch at the surface of the wonders of the Mara. You arrive in Masai Mara in time for lunch, then proceed on an afternoon game drive until sunset. Return for dinner and overnight at your camp.
Spend the full day in Masai Mara, Kenya’s most popular game reserve. Here, you will have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five – lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant. Game drives are flexible, with the option of going out with picnic lunch boxes to spend the entire day in the park, or you can choose to have an early morning and late afternoon game drive. You will also have the option of visiting a local Maasai village (at a cost of US$20 per person). All meals and overnight are provided at the camp.
Go on an early morning game drive then return for breakfast at your camp. Check out of the camp and continue for a visit to Lake Naivasha for a boat ride. You will then proceed to Nairobi with lunch en route, arriving in the evening. We drop you off at your respective hotel or the airport.
