Highlights of the Tour
- This is a 2-day safari visiting the famous Masai Mara National Reserve. This reserve is one of the best places in Africa for wildlife viewing. Game drives can be done all year round. If the big cats are what you’re looking for on your Kenyan safari, you are guaranteed to spot them at the Mara. For bird lovers, the Mara has more than 400 bird species, including birds of prey. Masai Mara hosts all the Big Five – lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant.
Itinerary
You'll be collected from the airport. Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged for an extra cost.
Land in Nairobi in the morning, where we will receive you at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and drive to Masai Mara National Reserve, a 5-hour drive but with stopovers to view the scenic route • You will arrive for lunch at Tayari Mara Camp • Afternoon visit to a Masai village where you will experience how they live, and learn their traditions and norms, then drive back to the Camp for dinner • Dinner and overnight at Tayari Mara Camp • All meals are included.
Wake up very early for breakfast at 6.30 am, drive to Masai Mara Game Reserve • Carry packed lunch • On top of the Big Five, you will also see cheetah, zebra, wildebeest, both Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelle, hyena, eland, topi among others • Mara is also popular for birdwatching, there is secretary bird, tawny eagle, martial eagle, superb starling, lilac-breasted roller, crowned crane among others • In the afternoon, drive out of the park and head to Nairobi • You will be dropped at your hotel.
Additional accommodation can be arranged for an extra cost. You'll be dropped off at the airport.
